Casa Bianca is beautifully situated on the outskirts of Santa Domenica di Ricadi, so that you can get to know the life of the locals in the small village as well as enjoy peace and quiet during your holiday. You can easily reach the beach on foot via a staircase, which is directly next to your holiday home. From Casa Bianca you have a fantastic view over the sea and the Tyrrhenian coast. With good visibility, you can see 5 of the 7 Lipari islands and enjoy the most picturesque sunsets with a glass of wine and watch the regular eruptions on the volcanic island of Stromboli.
From Casa Bianca you can reach a beach directly from the house via a staircase. This beach is sometimes narrower and in some years wider again, depending on the winter surf. In any case, it is a plus of the house that you can also spontaneously go to the beach on foot for a short swim. Beaches nearby: South of your holiday home is the Formicoli beach, which is very popular among locals – families especially love it here because of the fine sand and spacious, open beach area. Here you may bring your own parasol! Baia di Riaci – just after leaving Santa Domenica in a northerly direction. Also a beautiful bay for a long day at the beach! My tip: buy a beach guide and experience many other great beaches!
Casa Bianca is spacious on two floors with a large panoramic terrace on the first floor and a terrace surrounded by a beautiful garden with built-in barbecue and sink. Here you can enjoy your holiday under the open sky as it is usual in Southern Italy. On the ground floor you will find the comfortably equipped kitchen, which is connected to the open dining and living room, as well as a glass veranda from which you can access the garden and the terrace. There are four bedrooms in total, two on the ground floor and two on the ground floor. On each floor there is a bathroom (one with shower and one with bathtub).
The house is wonderfully suitable for two families or even a larger group of friends. The house can be occupied by a maximum of 8 people. You can enjoy a sea view from all rooms of the house except the two smaller bedrooms. Your hosts are a very nice German couple who are happy to rent out the house to holidaymakers in Calabria when they are not on holiday there themselves. So you can expect a high standard of furnishings and of course easy communication in German. On site, the Calabrian neighbours are responsible for handing over the keys and the house.
At Casa Bianca you can spend your holiday all year round, as all rooms can be heated. If you love nature and the countryside, you should visit Calabria outside the typical bathing season. In December, Calabria’s colours glow with ripe oranges and lemons. The poinsettia, known to us only as a puny potted plant, can then be found tree-sized in full bloom amidst the lush green landscape. In the warm midday sun, you can even take a short dip in the North Sea temperatures on some days.
Dogs are welcome! The house with approx. 600 sqm fenced garden is wonderfully suitable for a holiday with your beloved four-legged friend! Please indicate this in your enquiry!
Included in the price are utilities such as water, electricity and gas. Even the heating costs are included due to a solar system on the roof. The house can be occupied by a maximum of 8 people. As initial equipment you are welcome to obtain towels (dishes and bathroom (2 towels/person) and bed linen for € 15.00 per person.
