Beautiful holiday apartments with one or two bedrooms and sea views, just a 5-minute walk to the beach and equipped with a pool. These modern apartments are located in a small, family-run holiday complex with a well-kept communal garden on the outskirts of Parghelia. The apartments on the first floor and the attic offer sea views and balconies, while the ground-floor apartments have direct garden access. A path with steps leads to a beautiful bathing bay. Since 2020, there has been a fantastic 14-meter pool and a lounge on the large garden property directly across from the apartments. The pool is exclusively for the use of Pousada guests!

Surroundings

Parghelia is located just before Tropea, Calabria’s “pearl” on the Tyrrhenian Coast. This small town has about 1,400 inhabitants and, as its name (Greek paralia = beach) suggests, it is situated on a stunning coastal stretch with cliffs, coves, and sandy beaches. Parghelia is quieter than the neighboring tourist destination of Tropea, allowing you to experience the “authentic” Calabrian lifestyle. However, you will still find everything you need for daily life, including a supermarket, several bars and pasticcerias (pastry shops), small restaurants (mostly open only during the season), a post office, a pharmacy, and even a Pro Loco (tourist information center). Parghelia also has a small train station where most regional trains stop. If you are looking for variety, Tropea is just a short drive away (less than 5 minutes by car, or about a 30-minute walk).

The old aristocratic town of Tropea sits like an acropolis on a sandstone cliff that drops steeply to the sea. Beautiful beaches stretch across multiple bays. Tropea’s old town is crisscrossed by narrow streets filled with vibrant, quintessentially southern Italian life. Numerous shops invite you to stroll and shop, while a wide variety of restaurants offer the region’s specialties. Of historical interest are the Norman cathedral of Tropea and the many aristocratic palaces in the old town with their magnificent entrance portals. Tropea’s landmark, the small rocky island “Isola Bella” with its charming chapel, can be admired at sunset over an aperitif from one of Tropea’s panoramic terraces.

Apartments

The charming “Pousada” holiday complex comprises 12 apartments in a beautiful, newly built house with three floors. On the ground floor, you will find two-room apartments with a spacious living area including a sofa bed and kitchenette, a double bedroom, a bathroom, and a veranda with direct access to the garden. On the first floor, there are three-room apartments featuring a living/kitchen area, two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a balcony with sea views.

The top floor of the house houses a spacious attic apartment with a living room and kitchenette, two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a large balcony. From here, you will enjoy the best views of the sea and Tropea, as well as sunsets over the Aeolian Islands.

All two-bedroom apartments are equipped with one double bed, two single beds, and a sofa bed. Upon request, the single beds can be converted into a double bed. All apartments include a TV, while the three-room apartments are air-conditioned.

The holiday complex is managed by the friendly siblings Maria Teresa and Pino Blasi, who warmly welcome their guests and ensure a carefree stay. The house is surrounded by a beautiful garden, with loungers and balcony furniture available for use. A communal grill is provided, and individual grills can also be arranged upon request. The property is located in a quiet residential area, just a 5-minute walk from the center of Parghelia. Additionally, within a few minutes’ walk, you can reach a lovely bathing bay via a small path and staircase. Since there are no typical Italian lidos (bars and sun loungers) here, and the bay can only be accessed on foot (Italians prefer to drive directly to the beach), this bay is usually not crowded.

Prices

Prices are quoted per week. Saturday-to-Saturday bookings are preferred but not mandatory. The price includes water, electricity, and gas. An additional final cleaning fee of €40.00 applies for the two-room apartments and €45.00 for the three-room apartments and the attic apartment. Prices are based on occupancy of 2 or 4 people; an extra charge applies for additional guests (sofa bed).

For an initial supply of towels (kitchen and bath) and bed linen, an additional €15.00 per person is available. If linen changes are required during the stay, €10.00 per person will be charged for each change.

The municipality of Parghelia charges a tourism tax of €0.50 per person per day, payable directly to the property owner.

A washing machine is available for use.
